The Council of Ministers has approved the Royal Decree which regulates the compatibility of the retirement pay with the authors’ remuneration rights.

 

In this way, the recommendations contained in the report of the Subcommittee for the preparation of the Statute of the Artist – approved unanimously in the Plenary Session of the Congress of Deputies on September 6, 2018 – are complied.

 

This new regulation includes Spain in the top countries over the world having a legislation destined to protect social rights and to promote artistic creation in the maturity stage.
