DAMA has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of CISAC (the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers) for the 2025–2028 term, receiving 1,970 votes.
CISAC is the world’s leading network of authors’ societies, with 227 member organisations in 118 countries, representing over 5 million creators across all artistic repertoires: audiovisual, music, drama, literature, and visual arts.
The organisation works actively to protect the rights and promote the interests of creators worldwide. Its efforts enable collective management organisations to ensure transparent representation and fair distribution of rights for the use of creative works globally.
In addition to the Board, DAMA is also represented in other CISAC bodies, such as the Audiovisual Repertoire Group and the Legal and Global Policy Committee.
Screenwriter and director Ángeles González-Sinde (former Minister of Culture and current DAMA board member) serves as one of CISAC’s Vice Presidents, representing audiovisual authors.
At DAMA, we celebrate this renewed commitment to the global defence of copyright and the representation of the audiovisual sector.
