New edition of DAMA Ayuda Series, the entity’s programme to promote good ideas in series format

The deadline for submitting proposals is 23 June.

Arantxa Cuesta, David Bermejo, Juan Ramón Ruiz de Somavía and Sonia Pastor will mentor the four selected authors.

DAMA, the copyright management organisation, announces the eighth edition of DAMA Ayuda Series (#DAMAAAyudaSeries2022). Four series ideas will have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring process carried out by renowned professional screenwriters: Arantxa Cuesta (Seis hermanas, Ciega a citas), David Bermejo (7 vidas, Aída, Vivir sin permiso), Juan Ramón Ruiz de Somavía (7 vidas, 3 caminos) and Sonia Pastor (Allí abajo, Mercado Central, Señor, dame Paciencia).
In addition, these authors make up the jury of the call for entries, together with a representative of DAMA.

Anyone wishing to participate must write a project for a series in Spanish, including a title, genre, idea and synopsis. A maximum of two authors will sign each idea submitted, which must be original. The deadline for sending all the information to guiones@damautor.es is 23 June, inclusive.

It is not necessary to be a member of the organisation or reside in Spain to participate. Any author of legal age may apply and participate telematically in the tutorials, if they are unable to attend the entity’s headquarters, located in the La Latina district of Madrid (Gran Vía de San Francisco, 8).

The winning projects of the DAMA Ayuda Series 2022 will be announced in the last week of July 2022 on the DAMA website and on its social networks.

With the momentum of previous calls, projects such as Morir de Pie, by Anna Maria Bofarull, and Okume, by Sergio Granda, which were selected in Conecta Fiction, have continued to grow in other labs and calls. Venceréis, by Servando Vidal, was selected in the fifth edition of the competition and received the award for best series project in the Filmarket Hub at the Valencia Pitch Forum.
