Pedro Almodóvar’s film ‘Madres Paralelas’ wins Best Foreign Film award at The Chicago Indie Critics
The Chicago Indie Critics voted on the winners of their sixth annual film awards in 24 categories this past week.
Founded in 2016, the Chicago Indie Critics (formerly known as the Chicago Independent Film Critics Circle) is a creative and engaging non-for-profit organization composed of unique, dedicated, and diversified film critics.
Madres Paralelas, the film by our member Pedro Almodóvar, has been awarded the prize for Best Foreign Film.
Moreover, on the 23rd of November, our member Pedro Almodóvar presented the book with the screenplay of Madres paralelas at DAMA’s headquarters. Accompanied by journalist Pepa Blanes and filmmaker Borja Cobeaga, the president of DAMA, Pedro told us about his latest award-winning feature film.
The event could be followed via streaming on DAMA’s YouTube and, in addition, the Spanish filmmaker signed copies of his work for everyone who came to the venue.
